Everyone is hero, whatever who you are.
"The Fukushima 50", firemen, Japan coast guards are the heroes who now take the risk to save others' life. Every Japanese and also the victims never lose their head although they're in the disaster. These are a part of everyone's life lesson worth learning and made me wanna draw this.
I drew different kind of Japanese heroes to represent the role of different kind of persons:
- The Fukushima 50:
The heroic group of employees of the Fukushima I Nuclear Power Plant who remained on-site after 750 other workers were evacuated. Now there ain't only 50 employees involved to battle radiation risks as Japan nuclear crisis.
- Daigo Asahina & Shiro Amakasu, the main characters of Firefighter! Daigo of Fire Company M:
Firemen, the real world heroes...
- Japan coast guard:
Who rescues dog three weeks and the survivor after quake. And finding remains of people or animals for the bereaved..
- Hachizaemon Takeya (provided by Mat) the character of Nintama Rantarou who deeply care and love animals:
There're some animal welfare charities and volunteers do their best to save animals' lifes in the disaster area. But the refuges almost haven't enough space for animals now, the animal welfare organizations like SPCA HK is now shall channel donated funds to is the Japan Animal welfare Society (JAWS). Please help.
- Jotaro Kujo, the main character of the Japanese manga JoJo's Bizarre Adventure about "ordinary people"(um..not really) becoming heroes:
We want heroes, but actually everyone beside you and support you is your hero. And you are also/can be someone heroes without any special power like Jotaro.
- Robocon / Cyborg 009 / Kamen Rider:
They're created by Shotaro Ishinomori who also created many other classic heroes. Shotaro Ishinomori Museum devastated by flood unfortunately.
- Anpanman:
The theme song of Anpanman the animation has become quite popular in Japan now because of its encouraging lyrics. Many of us are craving for songs to cheer us up, right?
- Teru (Glay):
Who composed a song and published on Twitter for the victims after quake. The singer/artists/celebrities who convene people for donation by their fame and give help as long as they can.
- Dr. Black Jack, created by Osamu Tezuka:
The doctors and also Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) who do all they can to save one's life.
- Oshin, the well-known true story of a poor little girl who would someday become a good wife/mother and the owner of a big supermarket chain in Japan:
The parents who make a commitment for the rest of your life to your child(ren). To protect them for as long as they need it. Be there for them through good and bad.
